Soul mate

True to its name, the valley 'Eden' was a paradise that seemed like God was at a juncture of his extraordinary creativity.
The surrealness of the valley with all its lush green meadows stapled by blue skies and cheerful clouds would compel anyone to descend into a journey of soulful bliss. Mischievous little Aaron was no stranger to the valley for his little feet had left no place in that valley which had never been grazed upon or a nook of a valley that has never echoed his piercing giggles. Everything in the valley flipped when Eden turned eerily silent when little Aaron was set to the convent. The dire circumstances for his widowed mother left no choice but to leave Aaron in a convent hostel. Initial days at the hostel were endurable with the solace that the night fetched him in exchange for his tears.
Each passing day and the explicit rules at the convent smeared Aaron into a disciplined and quiet-natured gentleman. As far as the story has reached, our little guy's memory of paradise was gradually substituted by the walls which he built for himself just as the one identical to the convent's walls.

Many years flew by hard-working Aaron transitioned from school to college to a company's CEO. At 35 years, his responsibility added up with the addition of his only immense joy, daughter Ria to the family. He loved his flesh and blood a zillion times than his palm heart could accommodate. However, the ruthless CEO position he held distanced his great possession from him as she grew older. It provided him all the assets in monetary value: an expensive watch but no time, a cozy bed with no respite, and an enormous house but not a home. In the years when Aaron ultimately built his business empire across the country, Ria simultaneously developed her love for another man in her life, married, and settled in immigrants' so-called 'paradise' USA. For Aaron, life at this point was teaching him his hardest lesson called 'replacement' with love and work that he could never grasp nor gobble up.

Soon life played another strike at Aaron was promoted and demoted at the same time as grandpa and a widower. Ria
with her newborn son 'Aari' couldn't juggle being there for her dad. Even the smartest phones failed to carry or convey words of comfort to her Dad. Eventually, she convinced her dad to come to the USA. Aaron packing his agonizing memories left his desolate house hesitantly and reached the airport. The gravity of his memories was untraced even by the securities and multiple times heavier than the prescribed weight of the airlines. If only his mind's weight would be a real deal the flight would have had all the trouble taking off the ground.

The long flight travel vehemently forced Aaron into slumber for when he woke all he could witness or remember was standing in a queue to get consent to enter the paradise. After all, the magic of traveling back in time from India to the USA has been worth the jetlag it has presented after embracing Ria with Aari at the airport arrival. Aarons's rival and Ria's love was after all a good driver to smoothly drive his jet-lagged cranky father-in-law to his kingdom. Upon reaching the home, the grandpa for the first time paid full attention to the two-year-old little human who looked like himself, pulled him close, held his hands in his, and planted kisses. As days went by the shy toddler started to open up to his grandpa first with a few glances stepping up to a level of always wanting him within his periphery. It was a language of love only the duo understood. They were inseparable and affectionate beyond measures that existed. Grandpa soon lost his excruciating memory to the little footprints which ran and transformed his mind.

They became best of friends, played like crazy, laughed till their lungs were out of oxygen, and stomach would hurt. Ria found her father to be happier and was startled to explore his side that she never experienced. On the other hand Aaron found his lost childhood and self in a few Kilos of flesh born from his blood, the best the bond did.

The bell rang, the teacher rushed the students to windup and title their stories. In fierce and beautiful words one of the copy was scripted "The soul-mate" by Aari!

A misguided Journey

It was Friday the 13th when Jade visited the graveyard, a place of buried secrets and unbroken silence. The zephyr seldom assured a comforting company in her loneliness. However, more often, it was her pulsating heart that vehemently whispered into her ears of fear and anxiousness. It was only a few hours before the anticipating sun could engulf the shallowness of the night. She took a deep breath, swiftly strode to the entomb engraved "Jade." She knelt, gently placed her senseless hands on the grave, and mourned in reticence a final goodbye to her earthly remains.
